prevents lateral spillage of the snow from the bucket. It is

Snow is held in by the side gates which retract when
loading, the sides also ride over and properly clean speed
bumps without damage to the mechanism. The narrow design
provides excellent maneuverability and visibility in traffic and
confined areas.
